I learned the basics of crochet as a young adult (1980s) and returned to it this past fall as a full-time retiree. After practicing and successfully making a half dozen neck warmer, I took a leap of faith and followed the Danielle video and written pattern. I am so proud to report that I completed the project within 2 weeks and my mother ( a VERY experienced knitter) complimented my work. I was able to use the written pattern to customize it so it fell longer than what my torso size (L) produced. I am headed to Florida (from Up North Michigan) and I am so excited to wear my FIRST handmade garment!! One thing to note: The video instructions for the border around the neck, armholes and bottom of the sweater (Row 1: HDC, Row 2: Sl st) are different than what is in print on your website (Row 1: Sc, Row 2: Sl st).
