Free Crochet Dress Pattern

Starting Chains

  • Size M: ch 68
  • Size L: ch 74
  • Size XL: ch 86
  • Size XXL: ch 95

Make 2

Ch 68 (or a multiple of 3 +2 for base) 

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 2, sk 2, sc*, rep until eor.

Row 2: Ch 4, turn, *tr in the ch 2 space, 2dc in the base of the tr* rep until last sp, tr in the last st.

Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, *ch 2, sk 2, sc between triangles* rep until eor. 

Row 4, 6, 8, 10, 12…42: Repeat Row 2

Row 5, 7, 9, 11, 13.…41:  Repeat Row 3

Finishing Touches for Your Crochet Dress

I made 42 rows for each rectangle. You can make as many rows as you like to achieve your desired length. 

Row 43 (Final Row): Ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, sc to eor.

Sewing Instructions for Crochet Dress Pattern

  1. Put wrong sides together.
  2. From the top edge, you will measure 10 inches down. This will be the holes for your arms. Sew from here to the bottom edge.
  3. Across the top, you will measure & sew 7 inches from each edge. This will be the shoulders, the remaining opening will be the neck hole.
  4. Sc around edges. Sl st to join.
  5. Fasten off and weave ends.
  6. Flip to right side.
