Rozzaly Crochet Scarf – Free Pattern & Video Tutorial

I designed the Rozzaly Crochet Scarf to look sophisticated, but beginner friendly. I used the Rosebud Stitch to create this elegant pattern you see on this scarf. It is a snug and comforting addition to your winter weather wardrobe to keep you warm during those brisk snowy days,

Cozy Cotton Scarf

I chose to use Caron Cakes cotton yarn for the Rozzaly Scarf. Cotton is soft against the skin and works up nicely with the rosebud stitch. However, you can use any yarn in your stash, just make sure to match your hook for proper gauge.

Quick and Beginner Friendly

The Rozzaly Scarf works up quickly and is a great project for crocheters of all skill levels. The textured rosebud stitch creates an elegant look that makes this scarf the perfect gift. Not only will it keep the wearer warm, it will add style and individuality to your winter attire. Before you know it, everyone will be wondering where you got that beautiful designer scarf!

How to Add Fringe to Your Crochet Scarf (and Make It Look Amazing!)

Adding fringe is one of those tiny touches that makes a handmade scarf feel extra cozy and stylish. Here’s a playful step-by-step guide to help you get it just right:
1. Cut your yarn (a little long is better!).
Grab some yarn and cut a bunch of strands to the same length. Pro tip: fold them in half, so cut them about twice as long as you want the finished fringe. You can always trim later, but you can’t magically add length!
2. Group your strands.
Decide how “fluffy” you want your fringe. Then grab 2–4 strands and hold them together like a tiny bundle of joy.
3. Fold and hook.
Fold the bundle in half and stick your crochet hook into a stitch along the edge of the scarf. Pull the folded loop through—don’t worry if it feels a little tricky at first, it gets easier fast!
4. Pull through and tighten.
Take the loose ends and pull them through the loop you just made. Gently tug to secure—voilà, your first fringe is born!
5. Repeat, repeat, repeat.
Work your way across the edge, spacing each bundle evenly. Step back occasionally and admire your growing fringe—it’s like giving your scarf little hair extensions!
6. Trim for perfection.
Lay your scarf flat and snip the ends so everything is neat and even. Don’t stress about tiny differences; part of handmade charm is that each fringe has a little personality.
And there you go—your scarf now has a fun, cozy fringe that makes it feel extra special. Time to wrap up and enjoy all the compliments coming your way!

  1. in row two of your pattern you forgot to put a two after your sk. kinda messed me up at first but I figured it out.

  2. in rows 6-7 should be written as how row 3 was written to avoid confusion. I do love this patter though, thank you for sharing.

  3. maybe I’m wrong about rows 6 and 7 but we do need a chain two in the beginning. do we begin in same stitch or next stitch? not sure that’s where the confusion comes in. love you and thank you for sharing your talent.
